Cut-price Christopher Kane, divine Roksanada dresses and cool young LFW names galore – Bicester Village have launched their first pop-up in partnership with the British Fashion Council. Here’s why you need to get down there pronto…
The British Fashion Council are bringing some of the most coveted designer brands on the LFW show calendar to Bicester Village for the first time. The BFC Designer Pop-Up has just opened at the outlet village – and if you want to grab a designer bargain, you’d better be quick. Open all this week, the pop-up will pop down this Sunday.
The roster of labels showcasing a curated edit of pieces at discounted prices (praise be!) includes Christopher Kane, Emilia Wickstead, Roksanda, Mother of Pearl, shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood and Marques’Almeida. Also on offer will be up and coming brand TEIJA. On our personal shopping list: an impeccable oversized shirt from Palmer/Harding:
A dreamy dress from Emilia Wickstead
…and a futuristic knit from Christopher Kane:
Bicester are on a fashion-supporting roll – they’re fresh from providing mentorship (for the second year in a row) to the five finalists of the CNMI Green Carpet Talent Competition, unveiled as part of The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, which were held in Milan at the end of fashion week in September. The Awards were founded by Livia Firth’s Eco-Age, in conjunction with Italian fashion’s governing body the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
The BFC Designer Pop-Up is part of another initiative, a new partnership between the BFC and The Bicester Village Shopping Collection – a programme called ‘The Business of Retail’, which will offer British designers business mentorship and new commercial opportunities.
So go on, support those designers – and your own AW18 style goals…That, ladies, is what we call a win-win.
